As Nigeria celebrates the 2015 Children’s Day, smart phone giants,
Tecno Mobile has given out scholarships worth N100,000 each to three
pupils in Lagos public schools.
The mobile phone manufacturers also provided educational materials and stationery to some selected schools in a bid to assist parents of the children to provide them with basic and educational.
The four selected public schools included Ijaiye Okokoro Primary School, Tonia Primary School, Ebenezer Primary School, and Meiran Memorial School.
Speaking during the presentation, the Marketing Executive of Tecno, Mr. Richard Ugo said that the company is investing in the future of Nigeria through its corporate social responsibility initiative, tagged Give Children A Future.
He said the big idea behind this initiative is to have a scholarship scheme, provide educational materials to the selected public schools.
The executive however assured that the gesture will be extended to other schools too.
