The Coordinator, Indomie Fan Club, Mrs. Faith Joshua, has advised mothers to forge a closer relationship with their children.
She said this would enable them to bring out the best in the children academically and socially.
Joshua said this during an exhibition organised by Dufil Prima Foods Plc, in Lagos recently.
According to her, the exhibition is aimed at celebrating the creative works of children who sent entries for its ‘Team up With Mum’ competition.

Joshua said the competition, which lasted for a month, was the largest children’s fan club in Nigeria boasting over 100, 000 members.
During the competition, the children, in company with their mothers, were required to come up with exciting designs using Indomie cartons and packs. The competition recorded over 37, 000 entries.
According to Joshua, the competition seeks to deepen the bond between the mother and child, while also exposing the creativity of the child.
She said, “The exhibition today is an avenue to showcase the creative abilities of the children and to also bring out the best in them. We received over 37, 000 entries within a month. By the time we are done with the final selection process, the top three entries will be rewarded with cash prizes of N100, 000, N75, 000 and N50, 000 respectively. A lot of consolation prizes will also be given out.”
In his remarks, the Head, Public Relations and Event, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, described Indomie as a child friendly brand which would continue to support causes and activities that would help them develop both mentally and physically.
He said the organisation hosted over 70,000 children across the country during the last children’s day celebrations.
“The Indomie Fan Club was established to create an environment of learning, fun, excitement and bonding for children between the ages of 5 – 12. We will continue to support children and initiate activities which will help them develop both mentally and physically,’’ he said.
