Academic activities at the Kwara State College of Education (KWACOED), Ilorin was disrupted on Wednesday, as students protested against the ejection of some students from the examinations hall over non payment of certain levies called course form fee of N4,500.
The students, who disrupted the ongoing examinations, chased out the staff with all kind of weapons including cutlasses and stones.
They blocked the Ilorin General Hospital to Saw mill road, chanting war songs and disrupting the flow of traffic on the road.
One of the students said that the course form levy was introduced last year and the students have been paying but argued that defaulters who have paid their school fees are not supposed to be stopped from sitting for examinations on account of not paying course form fees.
It took a strong effort from the security forces to disperse the students.
