Two students of the Niger Delta University (NDU), has been arrested by men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Bayelsa State in possession of four locally made guns.
The students, Ambakaderemo Tamarakumo and Zuokumo Preye were arrested on the East-West Road on their way to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
During preliminary investigation of the suspected gunmen, they confessed they were cultists on their way for an initiation.
The suspects were instantly handed over to the police for further interrogation and prosecution according to the arresting officers of the NDLEA.
NDLEA however advise parents, guardians and other caregivers to always pay keen attention to the activities of their children and wards.
It said the command would continue to combat illicit drug trade, consumption and all other related offences with the ultimate aim of making the state drug and crime-free.
