Applications are ongoing for the 2015 University of Otago Doctoral Scholarships for International Students (New Zealand). The University of Otago is a research-led University with an international reputation for excellence. The main doctoral-level scholarship at the University, open to both international and domestic applicants, is the University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship .
The University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship provides funding to support doctoral students studying at the University of Otago, New Zealand. Up to 181 scholarships are awarded annually and it covers any PhD or doctorate courses at the institution.

Scholarship Value

The scholarship value is worth: NZ$25,000 stipend per annum plus domestic tuition fees waiver (excludes student services fee and insurance).

Eligibility

The Scholarship is available to both domestic and international students. Candidates for professional doctorates, as well as the PhD, are welcome to apply.
Applicants must usually be seeking to obtain their first doctoral qualification.
Selection is based predominantly on academic merit and the applicant’s potential for research.

Application Procedure and Deadline

Applications for doctoral-level scholarships should usually occur when applying for admission, and should be uploaded as part of the online admission application process.
It is also possible to apply for a scholarship after being admitted for a doctoral programme. All relevant forms and regulations; and detailed information on how to apply for the scholarship are available at the University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship official website.
Applicants can apply anytime. Scholarships for Master’s and doctoral-level study at the University of Otago can be applied for at anytime during the year.
