The Vice-Chairman, Lagos Cheshire Home,
Lagos, Mr. Olugbenga Olabenjo, has called on Nigerians not to
discriminate against people living with disabilities.

support services, which would afford those with disabilities the
opportunity to contribute to national development.

According to him, the home is to help persons living with disabilities to a point where they can live independently.
The home, he said, was a transit place for them to acquire vocational skills that would enable them to lead better life.
Inmates of the home were treated to various games and fun activities, such as dancing and singing competition.
A resident, Miss Tope Akinyele, who
spoke on the occasion, said there was the need for inclusive education
for pupils with disabilities.
