MA Methods of Social Research Scholarship at University of Kent in UK, 2018

The University of Kent is offering one £3,000 scholarship (as contribution to tuition fees) on a competitive basis for MA in Methods of Social Research.
The University of Kent (formerly the University of Kent at Canterbury), abbreviated as UKC, is a semi-collegiate public research university based in Kent, United Kingdom. It was founded in 1965 and is recognised as a Beloff’s plate glass university
The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Requirements: To be eligible, candidates must have a First Class honours degree from the School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research (graduating by this summer or already graduated), and to study full-time starting in September 2018.
  • English Language Requirements: The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.

Application Procedure:

Those interested need to do the following:
  1. Apply for a place on the MA in Methods of Social research and ensure your references and transcripts are submitted through the university’s online system by the deadline of 16.00 on Friday 29 June 2018.
  2. Submit to the postgraduate office a 600-word proposal (excluding bibliography and footnotes) for a dissertation project you would like to pursue as part of your MA by the deadline of 16.00 on Friday 29 June 2018. The proposal should include the title, the aim of and rationale for the project, the methods to be employed, and should show awareness of the place of the proposal in the wider literature / academic debates.
