“With effect from the 22nd of April 2015 the Ondo State University of medical Sciences has been recognised by the National Universities commission as the 40th state university and 139th university in Nigeria”, the letter read.
Speaking shortly after he received the Letter of Recognition, Ondo state Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko said the university was established based on the desire of Ondo state government to have a specialised university that is dedicated to training for service delivery and research.
