BUK has issued an important notice to students of the Postgraduate
School. All students of Bayero University graduate school are hereby
informed to register for the session as the deadline has also been
announced.
The management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) wishes to inform the University community that the 2014/2015 Academic Session postgraduate registration has commenced.
All postgraduate students, both Fresh and Returning, are to visit http://mybuk.buk.edu.ng/pg/home.php to see registration details.
Deans, Heads of Department, Postgraduate Coordinators, Lecturers and Supervisors are also to take note of the following events up to the end of 2013/2014 session, according to a statement signed by Prof. S. B. Ahmad mni,Dean of School of Postgraduate Studies dated 11th February, 2015:
1. Lectures to end on Saturday 21st March, 2015.
2. 2nd Semester Examinations (2 weeks)
Wednesday, 15th April – Saturday, 25th April, 2015.
3. Marking/Compilation of Results and External Moderation (3 weeks)
Saturday, 25th April – Saturday, 16th May, 2015.
4. Departmental/Faculty PG Committee and SPS Board Consideration of Results (2 weeks)
Monday, 18th May – Saturday 30th May, 2015.
5. Deadline for submission of Long Essays/Projects/Dissertations and Theses
Saturday, 18th July, 2015.

Registration Timetable: The following timetable will be strictly enforced:
PERIOD ACTIVITY
13th April –10th May, 2015 (4 weeks) Screening and Registration of fresh students
27th April–10th May, 2015 (2 weeks) Registration of returning students
11th May –17th May, 2015 (1 week) Late Registration period (with N5,000 penalty)
18th May –29th May, 2015 Application for Suspension of Studies for the Session for those who fail to register by 17th May, 2015.
Senate has directed that any student who fails to register by 17th May, 2015 has to apply for Suspension of
Studies for the Session not later than Friday, 29th May, 2015.
Those who fail to apply for Suspension of Studies by 29th May, 2015 would be considered withdrawn from the University.
