About 64 new medical doctors from the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) have been inducted into the medical profession by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

Speaking at the induction ceremony, the Provost of the UNILORIN College of Health Sciences, Prof. Wahab Johnson, said that the successful medical doctors were among the 118 that started the programme, with others either withdrawn or made to repeat the programme.

He said Unilorin has produced 4,062 doctors in 32 years.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, congratulated the new graduates, saying that they are capable of improving the health-care delivery system in the country and the world.
He charged the graduands to exhibit professionalism in discharging their duty.

Several of the new medical doctors who took the Hippocratic Oath expressed their happiness at the event.
