The VC made this declaration on Thursday amid a media conference with Journalists at the University at Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin.
Prof Ibanga who said that the convocation would hold next week Wednesday, would likewise witness presenting of Honorary Doctorate degrees to meriting people including the immediate past governor and Senate Minority Leader, Chief Godswill Akpabio.
As indicated by him, since his commencement as VC, he has regularized and advanced staff of the organization who were expected while including that AKSU now produces one of the best hydraulic paints in Nigeria.
He used the occasion to commend the State government under the leadership of Mr. Udom Emmanuel for consistency in funding the University as the school receives N250m monthly adding that salaries are paid regularly and that government does not interfere with their internally generated revenue.
The VC noted that 94% of AkSU students are from Akwa Ibom, adding that his best achievement as a VC is more accreditation for the school and building of facilities like laboratories, fish pond, cattle stands, office spaces, Aksu multi purpose theatre, studio, ICT, Library, feed mill, oil palm mill, tomatoes farm and staff training.
Prof Ibanga informed Journalist that AKSU has a well established students Union government where a bus has been acquired for them adding that the relationship of staff and students is cordial.
