UNIMAID Distance Learning Admission Application Form 2015/2016 Out

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) invites application from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Centre for Distance Learning (CDL) Programmes for 2015/2016 Academic Session.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
i) In order to be admitted to a Bachelor Degree in any of the Faculties, a prospective student must satisfy the minimum University Entrance Requirement (and where applicable, the additional faculty requirements as provided in the regulations governing admission) detailed by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.
ii) Follow an approved course of study for a prescribed period; Pass the required examinations set out in thee detailed degree regulations of the various Faculties; pay all prescribed fees.
iii) And comply with such other regulations and requirement as may be prescribed. Minimum age of 16years on 1st October of the year of admission. General requirements for entry course in the School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (SSCE) or (GCE) of (NECO) with Credits in at least five (5) Ordinary Level subjects obtained at not more than two sitting (subject to University requirements).
Duration of Degree Programme:
The minimum number of years to be spent to be awarded a first degree in a
programme of study in non professional areas shall be four years, and shall not exceed
an additional 50% of the duration of the programme if a student fails to graduate within
the minimum number of years.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested Applicants are to pay the sum of Five Thousand Naira only (5,000) at any of Branches of Fidelity Bank Plc to obtain a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to gain access to the online form.
Visit the Centre for Distance Learning portal: www.unimaidcdl.edu.ng/apply-now and login into the system using the serial number and PIN on your Slip. Keep your Slip safely for subsequent logins.
You are required to enter your personal information including your names and other relevant information. A valid phone number is required which is going to be the primary communication medium in regards to your application.
Also upload your recent passport photograph that is very clear and with a plain background. The picture should be a JPEG format and not more than 50kb in size.
After successful submission of the application, your application page is displayed. The Serial Number on your slip is your Application ID as well as your login username. Click on Print Application to print it.

SCREENING EXERCISE
Before your application can be processed, you must attend the screening in person. Details will be announced soon.
i) You are required to present the originals of your relevant credentials (O' level results, JAMB result/acknowledgment slip, A’ level results, diploma or IJMB - as applicable to you.).
ii) Photocopies of all results presented will be submitted at the center.
iii) The photocopy of O’level certificate/statement of result(s) will be accompanied by appropriate utility card (scratch card for accessing result) of the examination body.
iv) You are to submit photocopy of indigene letter, certificate of birth/declaration of age and a copy of the printed post UTME application form.

CLOSING DATE
Application ends 30th November, 2015.
