The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), has appointed a new
minister to oversee the affairs of the country's education sector.
Buhari, while inaugurating his new cabinet, announced Mallam Adamu Adamu as the Minster of Education and Prof. Anthony Anwuka as Minister of State for Education.
Mallam Adamu, who hails from Bauchi state, graduated from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, where he studied Accountancy. He is a renowned writer and public analyst.
Prof. Anwuka, who was appointed minister of state for education, is from Egbuoma Town of Oguta Local Government Area in Imo State.
He is a former Vice Chancellor at the Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri. The 64-year-old Professor of Education is an experienced Public Administrator.
