EBSU Work and Study Programme Application Form 2015/2016 Out

EBSU Work and Study programme (WASP) application form for 2015/2016 session is now on sale. Interested members of the public are hereby informed to procure their forms now as the closing date of the application has also been announced. EBSU WASP 2015/2016
The management of Ebonyi State University (EBSU) invites applications suitably qualified candidates for admission into the underlisted Work & Study Programme (WASP) courses for the 2015/2016 session. The programme leads to the award of degrees in the programme areas approved for EBSU WASP below.
About EBSU WASP
Work and Study Programme (WASP) is a weekend part-time studies programme of Ebonyi State University designed to offer opportunities to talented, intelligent and qualified working adults in various fields of life endeavours to acquire university education without having to give up their jobs.
Graduates of WASP DO NOT participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), rather they are issued with Exclusion Certificate from NYSC at the end of their programme.

General Admission Requirements

Admission into the Work and Study Programme (WASP) requires (5) 0’/L Credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language at Ordinary Level (SSCE, NECO, GCE &TC II, NABTEB, etc) for ALL courses while credit pass in Mathematics at Ordinary level is compulsory for all Science, Social Sciences (except Mass Communication), Management Science and Agricultural and Natural Resources Management based courses. The 0/L credit passes are to be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
EBSU WASP PROGRAMME PLAN
The programme offered in each department is the same as those of regular programme. The only difference is the mode of entrance, and mode of study. The length of time a candidate spends in the programme before graduation depends on the level of qualification upon entrance, for instance:
For “O” Level Qualification
SSCE/NECO/GCE/TC II/NABTEB
Other courses 5 years, Agric Courses 6 years
For Direct Entry
ND/NCE in the same discipline – 4 years, Agric Courses 5 years
HND in the same discipline – 3 years, Agric Courses 4 years
Registered Nursing (RN) Certificate – 5 years
DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES
All direct entry candidates MUST ensure that their academic transcripts are received latest two weeks after the close of sale of forms.

How To Apply

Application forms are obtainable online on purchase of five thousand naira (N5000.00) only. EBSU-WASP scratch card payable to Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki Account Number 200-2776-770 with First Bank Plc, Abakaliki Branch.

Application Closing Date

Sale of application forms shall close on Tuesday, August 21st, 2015.
Important Dates to note
  • Processing of Admission forms begins on 25th September, 2015
  • Processing of Admission forms ends on October, 16th 2015.
  • Release of admission list and registration of fresh students to start by 20th October
  • Release of admission list and registration of fresh students to end on 27th November, 2015.
