The
National Association of Nigeria Students has congratulated the
President-elect and presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress,
Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) on his victory.
A statement on Thursday by the Public Relations Officer of NANS,
Mr. Ezekiel Nwankwo, called on Nigerians, irrespective of their
ethnicity and religion to support Buhari in building the country for a
better tomorrow.
NANS also commended Nigerian youths and
the citizenry, who were able to exercise their democratic rights by
going to cast their vote peacefully.
Commending
President Goodluck Jonathan for accepting defeat, the student body
urged Nigerians to accept the outcome of the poll in good faith and to
support the incoming government.
The association added, “The government,
in its magnificent administration, should not leave behind the youth
pupils and every good citizen of our great country, Nigeria. We also
believe that all political parties will see beyond just a mere contest
and put all resources together for a better tomorrow for our country,
Nigeria.”
