The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, has approved the appointment of a new Vice Chancellor for the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), Ikot Akpaden.
The new VC is Professor Enobong Ibanga from Mkpat Enin and he will replace Professor Sunday Peters whose tenure ended on 31st December, 2014.
Until his appointment, Prof. Ibanga was a Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Akwa Ibom State university.
During the Governorship rally at Mkpat Enin on Monday, the PDP Governorship Candidate in Akwa Ibom state, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, disclosed that the appointment of Ibanga was in response to the yearning of people of the university’s host community.
